Busy Bees Training Academy is celebrating after receiving a glowing report following its latest OFSTED inspection. The Staffordshire-based training provider was inspected by OFSTED in February 2017 and received an ‘Outstanding’ report from inspectors across the board.
Busy Bees Training currently oversees over 1,500 childcare, management and catering apprenticeships, as well as 20 short courses delivered at each of its 12 venues throughout the country. It joins an elite group of training providers to achieve the accolade, as only four learning and skills providers achieved outstanding in the 2015/2016 academic year.
The Ofsted report praised the training provider’s quality of teaching, its effectiveness of management and the outcomes created for apprentices and children, noting that;
“Highly-skilled training officers provide excellent coaching, guidance and support to the apprentices. As a result, apprentices become very skilled at evaluating and improving their skills as childcare, catering and management professionals.”
The senior team at Busy Bees Training were also praised as “many training staff have risen through the ranks of apprenticeships; they act as role models to inspire apprentices to aim higher” with OFSTED going on to say;
“Apprentices benefit from excellent and impartial careers information, advice and guidance; apprentices chose their courses to develop their careers that suit their courses to develop their careers that suit their personal circumstances.”
The nursery environment in which many apprentices work was given a special mention as OFSTED recognised that;
“Apprentices work in pleasant, safe and welcoming nurseries where they teach children a range of social and personal skills that prepare them well for the next stage of their learning.”
Fay Gibbin, Training Manager at Busy Bees Training, said:
“We are incredibly proud to receive this accolade – it is a huge achievement. Everyone within the business works tirelessly day-to-day to ensure we can provide better outcomes for learners and children. The report highlights our ongoing commitment to offering apprentices quality qualifications and apprenticeship programmes preparing them for the next stages of their career.
“This endorsement proves that all our hard work has been recognised and that each of our apprentices receive the highest standard of support and guidance to help them become highly skilled early years professionals. Many of our Training Officers begin their careers as apprentices and understand the positive impact that well-supported and structured programmes can have on their development.”
Continuing their praise, OFSTED said;
“Directors and senior leaders have a clear strategic vision to provide outstanding childcare and learning for children; they have made this a reality.”
