At SEA LIFE Scarborough, we offer a truly unique alternative for your nursery trips. We make sure that your class gets up close and personal to our amazing displays and aim to give young children a fun and memorable experience that helps them to 'understand the world' - one of the four learning and development requirements of the DfE Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage.
Let us take you on an underwater journey and show you a whole new world of discovery. With over 1,000 creatures to discover, including penguins, otters, seals, sharks and turtles, your class will be amazed by what we have to show them!
They’ll come face-to-fin with blacktip reef sharks, dive with colourful reef fish in our underwater tunnel and follow the journey of our rescued seal pups in Yorkshire’s only seal hospital!
No visit to SEA LIFE Scarborough is complete without a trip to Penguin Island where your class can learn to waddle with our colony of 22 Humboldt penguins at their feet. You can’t get much closer than on our walkway! Then head to the interactive rock pool where our team bring the creatures to life and your class get the chance to see who’s brave enough to stroke a starfish, tickle an anemone or hold a crab!
With regular talk and feeding demonstrations throughout the day there are plenty of opportunities to find out more about our creatures and watch them play. Discover why Eric our cheeky otter likes to juggle with his favourite stone and be careful not to get splashed by Ed the mischievous seal at feeding times. Or you can upgrade your ticket to include a guided tour with one of our SEA LIFE experts. They will truly entertain your class and bring the underwater world to life!
